Flat Frank

This project was brought about by the latest heart checkups I had done the past 2 months. Depending on which doctor you talk to, I have either 6 to 12 months before I have total heart failure or I can go on indefinitely with medications controlling things.

Either way, I realize I will never get to do the traveling I would like to. But I can have a surrogate do the traveling for me. I got the idea from a class project my nieces in Minnesota had worked on with "Flat Stanley".

So to travel and have some fun the next 6 to 12 months, I came up with "Flat Frank". I don't have the idea this will become as popular as Flat Stanley, but I am interested in how far he can get. I will be mailing out copies in hopes people will take pictures of Flat Frank in their area and e-mail them to me at the Flat Frank address shown at the bottom of the page. There is also a printable copy below so people can print him out to take pictures with. I hope some of those who take pictures of Flat Frank will autograph them and mail them back to me as well so I can start a collection. I will try to set up a seperate gallery for every place he goes. Most of my friends are still on dial-up so the galleries will be kept to 5-6 pics each.

I will also have a copy that I will be taking around my local area. I live on the Iowa/Illinois border. I have a couple of starter galleries made already. But who knows how many there will be by November 1st of 2010. So please feel free to print out your own Flat Frank and let me know how far around the world he can get in 12 months.
